2013-2017 Science Criterion-Referenced Test (CRT) District and State Proficiencies

Prologue 

The Science Criterion-Referenced Test (CRT) is aligned to the Montana Content Standards for physical and biological sciences. It is administered each spring to students in grades 4, 8, and 10 within the Stevensville School District. Student scores are reported as student performance levels of Novice, Nearing Proficiency, Proficient, or Advanced. The following data charts contain state vs district percent proficient scores for years 2014-2018. All students that met Proficiency and Advanced are included within the graphs.

Fourth Grade Narrative 

In spring 2014, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 68% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 4th grade was 20% above at 88%.  In spring 2015, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 69% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 4th grade was 6% above at 75%. In spring 2016, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 71% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 4th grade was 16% above at 87%.  In spring 2017, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 71% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 4th grade was 16% above at 87%.  In spring 2018, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 69% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 4th grade was 3% below at 66%.

Eighth Grade Narrative

In spring 2014, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 68% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 8th grade was 7% below at 61%.  In spring 2015, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 62% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 8th grade was 8% above at 70%. In spring 2016, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 65% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 8th grade was 6% above at 71%.  In spring 2017, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 66% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 8th grade was 3% above at 69%.  In spring 2018, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 67% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 8th grade was 9% above at 76%.

Tenth Grade Narrative 

In spring 2014, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 47% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 10th grade was 9% above at 56%.  In spring 2015, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 45% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 10th grade was 7% below at 38%. In spring 2016, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 45% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 10th grade was 11% below at 34%.  In spring 2017, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 46% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 10th grade was 12% below at 34%.  In spring 2018, the state score for proficiency and advanced was 45% of the students assessed.  The Stevensville District 10th grade was 2% above at 47%.
