The mission of the Stevensville schools’ library media program is to ensure that all students are able to effectively use libraries to meet their information and research needs arising from the school’s curriculum and from personal needs and interests. Our mission is to create a community of readers where each student can fulfill his or her potential and experience the joy of the written word. Our school will provide appropriate materials and time for the practice and improvement of the students’ reading, listening, and viewing habits.

Meet the Librarian ~ Ms. Jette

I am a Montana product – born and raised in Missoula. I graduated from the University of Montana with a BA degree in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career here in Stevensville in 1983. I taught Kindergarten for eight years, and Third Grade for ten. While teaching Third Grade I became interested in replacing our retiring librarian, so I earned a Library Endorsement from the U of M…Go Griz!

As one can tell by the length of time that I have taught at this school, I love it here! My three children have all received a wonderful education at Stevensville. I love reading and sharing my love of the written word. I couldn’t be more fortunate in the job I have chosen – surrounded by books and children!
