1. Make sure that you have a strong interest in your topic. Be thoughtful about it. You will be submitting a proposal to the Advisory Committee. (See page 6.)
  2. The topic you select should be feasible and accessible from where you live.
  3. The topic you select should be a learning stretch and cause you to really think and learn about the topic.
  4. You will need to invest a minimum of 10 documented activity time hours.
  5. You will be responsible for meeting with and lining out your project with your Community Mentor.
  6. Your senior project should create a positive impact within a community.
  7. Your project will be the foundation for your presentation.
  8. Presentations will be a minimum of 7 minutes. You will explain, reflect and share your project with an audience.
  9. After you have completed the activity section of your project, you will write a two page paper that will be included in your portfolio.

Find something that genuinely interests you, something that might lead to a potential job or career interest, and something that you will be proud of. Most importantly, have fun and do something that you will always remember.
