Your proposal is meant to inform and persuade the Advisory Committee to accept your senior project. It should address:
  • What activity you would like to do.
  • What interests you about this topic.
  • What resources are locally available.
  • Who do you think would make the best mentor for you in this project.
  • What prior knowledge you have in regards to your topic.
  • What you hope to learn.
  • Who you believe will benefit from this.

When you are finished with the activities section of your project, you will need to write a paper about your experience. This paper will be part of your portfolio.

  • It should be a minimum of two pages in length.
  • Use Times New Roman 12 pt font.
  • Include
    • What your project is.
    • Why you chose this project.
    • How will it benefit the community.
    • If there are skills that you will learn that will help you in your future.
    • What help you may need from your Community Mentor.
    • How you intend on presenting your Senior Project.
    • What your timeline is.

Remember that this paper will need to be incorporated into your senior presentation.
