Four members of the Middle School Chess Club traveled to Missoula International School on May 19th to take part in the Spring Missoula Scholastic Tournament. The team played against schools from across the state. Joshua Walthall took 2nd place in the K-4th Grade division, James Bigelow took 2nd Place in the 5-8th Grade division, and Thomas Walthall finished second in the High School division.
The day ended with an exhibition simo/simultaneous match against Chess Master Greg “The Octopus” Nowak. A man who once earned a draw against Bobby Fisher.
