Student Drop-Off (Mornings)

Stevensville School grounds are staffed and ready for children as early as 8:00 am. Please do not drop your children off at the school before that time. As the days grow darker and colder, we encourage parents to drop students off after 8:00 am for your child’s safety.

Calling the Office for Bus or Pick Up Changes

Stevensville Schools cannot take bus-switch phone calls after 2:45 pm on regular days or 1:45 pm on early out days. The only exception will be in the event of an emergency. Please call before 2:45 pm or send notes with your children about bus changes or pick up changes. Notes need to be given to the office as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Attendance

Students with regular attendance are more likely to read well by third grade and score higher on tests. They also tend to be more engaged in school and feel better about themselves, according to the National Association of Elementary School Principals (RP 32.1). Missing multiple days of school can negatively impact a child’s academic success, which increases student drop-outs. Please help your child by promoting good attendance. If your child is going to be absent, please be sure to call the Primary Office at 777-5613 by 9:00 am.

MBI Platinum Award

Stevensville Primary received the Platinum Award from the Montana Behavioral Initiative Conference in Bozeman this past June. This award recognizes our hard work in understanding human behaviors and setting up clear expectations for all students to follow. We track all behavior data and make positive adjustments based on that data. This is the 4th time Stevensville Primary has been the proud recipient of this award! In order to help us continue our hard work, please discuss the 4-Bees Matrix with your child(ren) at home, see Student Handbook.

Save or Scan Your Box Tops!  You Can Make a Difference!

Save your Box Tops! Send them with your child to school. They will be collected and turned in to fund student-centered activities!

Drop Off Loop

Please be sure to drop students in the right hand lane only.  Move as far forward as possible to allow others to park. After you child has safely exited the vehicle, move forward by driving in the left lane to exit.  We need your help to keep students safe from moving vehicles.  Please do not leave your vehicle unattended.

Healthy Treats & Food Allergies

Stevensville Schools asks parents to substantially limit sugary treats and keep in mind that we have students with food allergies . When bringing birthday or holiday treats to share with the class, please choose items that are healthy, not containing too much sugar. Also please label any homemade items by listing all ingredients for teachers to scan. Some known allergies include: tree nuts, peanuts, coconut, gluten, dairy, and many more. Thank you!

Backpack Program

Stevensville Primary School has been participating in the Backpack Program through the Montana Food Bank network!  This is an exciting program geared to help provide food for children during the weekends.  We’ve recognized a need for some children in our community to receive backpacks.  If you would like to volunteer or donate money to help us sustain the program, please contact the K-5 counselor, Lee Starck.
